I had an absolutely fabulous Halloween this year! Last year was a bust because Chris and I were on the road between Little Rock and Conway packing and moving during trick-or-treating hours, so I was really excited to dress up, go out, and then be home for the cute kiddos this year.
We met on Saturday evening for dinner at an usually empty Loca Luna in Little Rock. Costumes were:
Richard as a Mad Men-esque businessman, which we decided was not too far from his everyday attire.
Ashley as a (somewhat chilly) adorable pirate.
Stephanie Talley as a 50s sock hop attendee, complete with pearls and a poodle skirt.
Ben as...himself.
Stephanie Testerman as a kitty cat (who might have regretted her purrfect hosiery because it was COLD!)
Stephanie's beau Brenden as a golf ball head type thing with a club? Haha, I'm trying!
Chris, a painter, and myself as a still life:
And Evan, whose fuzzy (Donnie Darko) Frank costume kept him nice and warm. Widdle Widdle thought he'd met his daddy when Evan came to our house:
Matt joined us after dinner, dressed as Ben, who conveniently dressed as himself so the comparison was easy to make.
Somehow we managed to miss photos the rest of the evening, probably due to the amount of fun we had playing Buzzword. And definitely not because of the sangria.
Sunday evening we had two trick-or-treating children, part of the same group. We also got a pity doorbell ring from our neighbors, who noticed we'd decorated:
I can't say I was disappointed by the lack of interruptions to my Sunday evening, though, and I'm sure I'll appreciate that we don't live in a heavily visited neighborhood when Halloween is during the work week.
I hope your Halloween was as fantastic as ours!
